Great Pygmy Spirit

1999 DESERT EXCURSION

Wise Old Pygmy Owl

(L-R): Layton, Tonny, Chris, Jeff, Blowsand, Art, Gary, Donnie, Robb IV, Robb III, Jeff, Roy, and Joe line up in front of the what remains of the Laser Ray Mine Stamp Mill foundation in Landfair Valley.

As anyone who has spent time in the desert knows, it is not where you have been or where you are going that is important, it is where you are now that should be enjoyed.  On this particular trip traveled the Castle Mountain Range and Clark Mountain.  Then we doubled back through the Old Dad Mountains and across Broadwell Dry Lake to Ludlow.  The group also spent time with a stop at Nipton (the bar is no longer open there--what a shame) prior to catching a portion of the Mojave Road off the Goff-Ivanpaw Road..
