Great Pygmy Spirit

1990 DESERT EXCURSION

Wise Old Pygmy Owl

Richard and Chris watch as Ernie attempts to make a field repair while Donnie and Harry (on this side of vehicle) discuss other aspects of the vehicle's power plant.  Others not in photo are sitting in the shade having a cold one, which seems to make a lot of sense.

This trip followed parts of the Heritage Trail and took us through the mountains to Mountain Pass and then south by Kokoweef where we were given a tour of the underground search for the lost mine of Earl P. Dorr.  Next we made our way to 17 mile point, then south through the Old Dad Mountains through Broadwell Dry Lake with a side trip to Rainbow Arch.  As with all of out excursions, we had a great time and saw some beautiful scenery.
