SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES:

In April of 1994 a repeat performance by Wagon Masters Robb and Lenore Hicks and Tom and Edie Jones featured a Southwestern Motif.

An encore by Barstow Mojave River Valley Museum President, Cliff Walker, was enjoyed as he spoke on the Viceroy Gold Mine in the Castle Mountains of the Great Mojave Desert.  This Springtime gathering of the Hookups was dedicated to appreciation and recognition by the Rice's and the Hicks' of the completion in the previous fall of construction of the bridge across Lake HiRi connecting the two families' property.  The conceptualization of the bridge was credited to Art Keenan and the working drawings completed by Jeff Keenan.  Many Hookups members and some of their and the Hicks and Rice Families worked diligently on the 1993 construction.

A number of beverage "toasts" were proposed and enjoyed throughout the weekend celebrating construction of Lake HiRi's sturdy bridge, also referred to as "The Ore House" in the north side and "The Oar House" on the south side of the structure.

A Sunday departure was uneventful following rolls and coffee at "Hicks Hideaway".
